A card for Jackie - Len's dentist

Bit by bit I think someone is making a takeover bid in the card making stakes here! As my mojo had gone walkabout I was free to lend a hand with a card Len came up with.

Over a period of months he's been back and forward to the dentist for some serious root canal treatment, which would probably have defeated a less determined dentist. Jackie, the lovely lady dentist, 'percy veered' and at long last all seems to be stabilised. Phew.

So, he came up with a card design to say thank you, which I then tweaked by printing a second card front. Then fussy cut and lifted the images (tooth, star and rosette) as a second layer with thin sticky pads to add dimension.

This is the result (RCT is jargon for Root Canal Treatment' I'm reliably informed!):
And how sweet is this, Jackie took the time and trouble to phone here to thank us both for the combined effort!

  1. What a fun card as a thank you, and your Len is a clever chap to come up with this very apt design. I'm glad he has such a good dentist and that his tooth has now settled down. x

  3. Good dentists are rare, so when you have one, it's a great idea to keep them sweet! Perfect card for the occasion & recipient. Xxx

  4. I certainly don't envy Len having the RCT but this card is fabulous and such a thoughtful thing to do as well. Have you recruited him as a guest designer???

  5. Hi Di,
wonderful that all is sorted with Len.
I can imagine he was so pleased to have had it all sorted.
Not and easy thing to have done.
Super card for the dentist, and the design is ace.
No wonder she rang up to thank you both.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

  7. A great card and such a lovely idea to thank your dentist. Steve has just started to do a lot of colouring - he finds it relaxing - so you may be seeing some of his work in the future!

  9. You're definitely getting competition there, but your collaboration is fabulous! I bet dentists rarely get thank you cards!

  11. Brilliant card Di and such a great design, I reckon Len will be needing his own craft room soon. So glad to hear that his tooth has been saved... if it had been me I'd have said just said to the dentist 'pull it out and let me get out of here quick' xx

    Hugs to both of you,

  13. This is cute. I love our dentist. Some of my teeth have been saved because of good dentistry. We used to tell our children, "Ignore your teeth. They'll go away. Literally"! [Bunny]

  14. If I'm honest, I have to say it never occurred to me to make a thank you card for my dentist who has just tortured me with a root canal! You Brits are a forgiving lot, I'll give you that! I can understand why Dr. Jackie called to personally thank you! I'm sure this is the most awesome card she has ever received (if she's ever received one before!)! Way to go both of you! I love it when you post a card by LenDi, Ink! Hugs, Darnell

  16. How fun to send your dentist a thank you card...I doubt that many do that!! I have my own root canal treatment coming up so tell Len that he had my sympathies!
